Her small scowl wasn’t missed by Andy. He licked his lips.
Andy gave her arm a nudge. He leaned closer. “Hey, I’m not hitting on you…well, maybe I am. You’re too gorgeous to be single, and living in this town, especially as wealthy as you are and resourceful. I mean, you invented shit, can live anywhere, why the fuck here? I can’t believe that no men have tried to stake a claim. My commander was telling all of us how great this place is, and also how it works. I just can’t see you letting a bunch of men watch over you because of town laws and regulations,” he said to her.
“I don’t let anyone watch over me. I like it here. It’s peaceful, and no one bothers me. It’s definitely special, and if there were any men to try and stake a claim I would deny them. Like I said, Andy, I haven’t dated in two years. I like being single. Not worrying about all the bullshit attached to dating and the trust issues. I’m good just as I am,” she told him.
He eyed over her lips then looked into her eyes again.
“Is it because you miss them still that you aren’t dating anyone?”
She reacted quickly, hoping to show no hesitation or he might tell his cousins, if he hadn’t already informed them about where she was living.
“I was pretty hurt after what they did. The choice is mine, to be single and to focus on work and run the business.”
He reached out and stroked her knee.
“That can be pretty fucking lonely, just working your life away.”
He held her gaze and looked over her top. Her breasts were full and round and pushed into a deep cleavage but the top wasn’t too low. It showed just the right amount of cleavage to be feminine and sexy.
“I’m staying at a hotel a few miles out of town,” he said, holding her gaze. She stared at him. He was as good looking as his cousins and apparently they were all the same. After a piece of ass and no respect for women.
She put down her drink and slid off the chair. She grabbed her purse and reached inside to put some bills on the bar. “Have a drink on me, Andy. Take care.”
He grabbed her arm and she raised one of her eyebrows up at him and he responded with a calm expression.
“Don’t go. Things were just getting started.”
“No, they weren’t.”
He stood up and released her arm and then pulled her into his arms, giving her a hug.
“Maybe I’ll come by to visit some time.”
She pulled back. “Don’t bother. Take care of yourself, Andy,” she said and headed away, and toward the side door, trying to sneak out. When she got home it was late, but what surprised her was the headlights of the truck that came to a stop in her driveway, then Quantico, Leather, Stone, and Walker getting out.
She crossed her arms in front of her chest.
“What are you doing here?”
“What do you think we’re doing here?” Stone snapped at her.
She swallowed.
“I don’t know, Stone. It’s late. I’m tired and it’s been a crazy forty-eight hours.”
“You have some things to explain,” Quantico said and nodded toward her door.
“Invite us in. To talk,” he added and they all walked closer and waited for her to open the door.
“It’s late,” she said. Leather took her elbow and guided her to the door.
She exhaled. She’d lived around this town and Sons of Justice long enough to know when to argue with these men. She would appease them. Answer their questions about how she happened to be an hour from town, and how she knew Andy. She would come up with a bullshit story and then end this. She unlocked her door and motioned for them to come in. She turned on some lights and they stood there in her living room and by the open floor plan looking her over.
“Would you like some water?” she asked.
“How do you know agent Spode and the other men?” Quantico asked firmly.
“I know a lot of people, Quantico, what’s it to you?” she asked. He narrowed his eyes at her and she knew that look. Hell, she felt the intimidation. This man had authority and power and she was being an idiot because she didn’t want them to know about her ex-boyfriends. Andy pissed her off to boot. Hitting on her at the bar, acting like she would just jump into bed with him because he assumed she was lonely and needy for cock. Like that was what made a woman tick. Sex. What a jerk Andy was. Because Andy put her on the defensive with his questions, his flirtiness and assumption that he could hit on her and she would spread her legs for him because she had been in a ménage. Asshole.
She sat on the arm of the couch and crossed her legs.
“We have friends in similar circles, and go back a few years,” she said to him.
“Friends?” Leather asked.
“Yes, you do know what friends are, right?” she asked.
“What’s with the attitude?” Quantico countered, that gruff along his cheeks indicating he needed a shave yet made him look sexy, intimidating, and add in the bald head, the olive green button down shirt he had rolled up to his muscular forearms and yeah, she was shaking a bit. She didn’t know why these particular military men affected her so. She had been around military most of her life. Served from eighteen to twenty-two and accomplished so much in such a short period of time. She thought for sure that the Marine Corps would have been her life, but then trusting three men, opening up her heart cost her everything. She was lucky she was even alive. She straightened her shoulders and tried to act unaffected by the four extra large men in her living room. But it was damn hard with all their muscles, their seasoned expressions and the damn, deep commanding tones.
“You heard me. What’s with the attitude?” he pushed.
“What’s with the third degree?” she countered.
He held her gaze. “He seemed to know you better than just as a friend,” Quantico said and she wondered if he were jealous. Why that affected her she didn’t know. She made her decision to remain single. She needed to be calm.
“Nope, just friends. I can’t believe that Vinny was involved with so many illegal things and that the feds were involved, too. Crazy stuff. Thank goodness Sam is okay.”
Quantico stepped closer. “Yes, and you, too,” he stated. So this was where this all was coming from. They had been concerned over her well-being. Well, they didn’t know how resourceful she was. She pretended to not be, but they should have figured out she was pretty capable if she had a conceal and carry license.
“Well, I’m good.”
He eyed her over and reached out and played with locks of her hair, letting them glide through his fingers. Goosebumps traveled over her skin, and her core tightened. She was attracted to him, to them. Fuck no, she needed to be strong. She didn’t need the aggravation or the pain. Please be strong. Please don’t give in to the desire.
“Didn’t know that you knew how to use a gun and have a conceal and carry,” Quantico said to her.
“Don’t be angry at me for that, Quantico. There are a lot of things about me you don’t know, and that I don’t share with anyone.”
He cupped her cheek and gripped her hair.
“You shared things with me the other night.”
Her heart began to hammer inside of her chest and her face felt flushed. She looked away, but her eyes landed on Stone. Jesus, the man was lethal. She exhaled.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“You can’t deny it or the attraction we all feel.”
She stood up and he stepped back but then his hand went to her waist and he pulled her close.
“Quantico.”
“No. I don’t want to hear any bullshit. We were worried about you during this whole ordeal.”
She stared up into his dark brown eyes. His grip tightened as his eyes roamed over her breasts then to her lips.
“What are you hiding from us? From everyone?” he asked her.
“I’m not hiding—”
He pressed his mouth to hers and kissed her. She pressed her palms against his chest as he plunged his tongue d
eeply into her mouth and then slid his hand over her ass and squeezed.
She tried to resist the desire and how good it felt to be held by him, kissed by him and also to know his team watched. When the second set of hands landed on her shoulders and a mouth whispered into her hair, she moaned. She didn’t want to give in to the feelings of being seduced by multiple men she was attracted to. It didn’t work out the first time, surely the prospects of a second would be fatal.
“Don’t fight us on this. We were fucking jealous as hell seeing you talk to that agent all night and flirt with the others. We want you, Kendra,” Leather told her and then suckled her neck right on a sensitive cord, making her moan again.
One hand came up under her shirt from the back and cupped her breast as Quantico squeezed her ass and then rocked his hips.
She panicked. Totally shocked at the sensations and also at the flashbacks of having three lovers. Three military men who promised to love her, care for her, and protect her forever. They failed her and these men would fail her, too. She pulled back and as Quantico released her lips, sensing her need to slow things down, Leather turned her sideways and kissed her mouth next. It was too much. Total chaos as she reached up and gripped Leather’s neck and shoulder and kissed him back. Another set of hands landed on her hips and then Leather released her lips and Walker, quiet, brooding Walker pulled her into his arms and kissed her hard on the mouth. Holy hell, it was insane. So many thoughts went through her head. Could she have sex with them? Use them and this connection to feel the safety and security of a man’s arms? God, she missed being taken care of, protected, and even lusted after. But these men were seasoned, experienced and made her feel inexperienced and sensual, as if they looked at her feeling like she was a gift to them and not something to take for granted. She shook those crazy thoughts from her head, not even knowing where the hell they came from
He released her lips and she went to move when Stone grabbed her by her hips, turned her toward him then cupped her cheeks and ravished her mouth. Those hard, calloused hands gripped her with ease, perfection sending her core into a roller coaster of spasms straight to her cunt. Boy, did they know how to seduce a woman. That thought jerked her mind once again to the reality of men so experienced. Was she out of her mind?
He then slid one hand down her waist to her ass and squeezed her to him. The feel of one finger sliding along her crack sent her heart rate into explosive rhythm. When he lifted her up and started walking she panicked until she felt the couch cushion at her back and Stone press between her legs. He held her gaze.
“You’re so God-damn beautiful, Kendra. We want you. In our beds, as our woman.”
She shook her head. “I can’t.”
“Why not?” he asked.
“I don’t want to be claimed, to be possessed or in a ménage relationship.”
They looked shocked, maybe hurt.
“When it feels this good, this right?” Leather asked as Stone lifted up and she started to move in hopes that he was getting up but then he narrowed his eyes at her.
“Don’t lie to us. What are you scared of?” he asked.
“Me? Nothing. I just know what I don’t want, and that’s a ménage.”
“You’re not being truthful,” Quantico said to her.
“I want to remain friends. We all have friends in the same circle and I don’t want conflict or discomfort. Please respect my need for privacy, to remain single, and to just live my life as I want it, not as you feel you have a right to dictate.”
Stone rose up and ran his fingers through his hair.
“Dictate?”
She fixed her top, feeling how aroused her nipples and breasts felt and how needy her cunt was.
Stone stared at her bare belly and she wondered if he liked what he saw. Hello? Of course he did. He was a man after pussy, he liked her body. She was in great physical condition. Not to get a man or men, but to protect herself by all means physically if necessary. She swallowed hard.
“What is this?” Stone asked. His hand gripped her hip, his fingers pushing her jeans lower. She glanced down and swallowed hard.
“A Marine Corps symbol?” he asked and the others looked and squinted.
She sat up.
“You should go.”
“Fuck that. You tell us you don’t want this, yet kiss us like that, and we know you feel what we’re feeling. Something is going on. Something isn’t right at all,” Stone stated.
She stared at him. Gorgeous tan complexion, chocolate brown eyes, chiseled face and muscles galore, the man was super sexy and then some. All four men had such charismatic qualities. From Quantico’s hardened, seasoned look to Walker’s brooding, quiet demeanor, and Leather’s six foot four stature, she felt aroused, needy and badly for what she needed to do to keep them at bay.
She stared at them.
“Give us something. Some indication that you’re feeling what we are,” Leather stated.
“I can’t do that. I’m not leading you on, or to believe that we can be more than friends.”
Stone stroked her hip, stared at the tattoo as he slid his finger into the loop of her jeans and gave them an upward tug. She was leaning on her elbows and stared at him “Friends, and nothing more.”
“Friends? Are you out of your mind? Friends don’t feel what we feel when we’re making out, when we’re holding you, hell, when we’re standing in your living room inhaling your shampoo and thinking of stripping you naked and exploring every inch of your sexy fucking body and claiming you our woman. What the fuck are you not telling us?” Stone demanded to know.
She tightened up and didn’t know why she thought of telling them about Brandon, Skylar, and Paul. It hurt so much to talk about them and what they did. She felt used and stupid, even two years later. Maybe she hoped they would be turned off, or that they would react to her like Andy did knowing she had been in a ménage. They would push further and maybe say it would be no big deal to base the relationship on sex. Just sex. But she couldn’t say the words. It was like she really did care about these men, was attracted to them and didn’t want them to think of her like some slut, even though she wasn’t. Men thought with their cocks. That was all she knew.
Stone reached out and touched her hand and she quickly pulled back.
“I’m involved with someone,” she said to him, to them. His eyes narrowed and she looked away.
“It’s complicated and it isn’t perfect.” She stopped talking. Why was she backpedaling now that she made the perfect excuse? It was immature to lie, to pretend she had a boyfriend, but if it made these men step back and not pursue her then so be it. She was leaving in about a week for Costa Rica. Perhaps they would think she went off on vacation with this pretend boyfriend?
“Since fucking when? You’re never with any guy. Are you lying to us?” Walker asked.
She glanced at the others. Yeah, they didn’t buy it but now that she said it a series of lies began to tumble from her lips.
“I said it’s complicated. Now please. I’m tired and it’s late,” she said and stood up.
“That’s what the tattoo is for? A Marine you’re dating?” Leather asked, shocking her. So badly she wanted to tell them it was her tattoo and that she was a Marine. Why did the tattoo have to be for a man, a boyfriend who was one? She used that bit of annoyance to fuel her attitude and shrugged her shoulders. She practically saw the desire, the possessiveness escape Leather’s expression. He was insulted, jealous and she allowed him to believe it. Was she out of her mind pushing them away like this? They were older, definitely more experienced with life, with women, hell, with sex. They came here thinking she would sleep with them just because they showed a bit of concern. Her anger grew sharper.
They didn’t move and she worried they would force more questions but then Quantico nodded toward the door and they all started leaving. He stopped right before he left her. He stared down into her eyes.
“I hope to hell you aren’t lying, and that you know what you’re
doing. We’re risking a lot even considering a ménage and commitment like this.”
Like they would be the only ones risking anything? Hah! The woman risked it all. When a ménage failed she was left abandoned, used, and no longer looked at the same way.
“And like I wouldn’t be risking a lot letting four men into my bed, changing the way others look at me forever? You get to fuck who you want, and look macho and sexy. The woman gets to look easy and used. No thank you. I’ll stick to dating one guy,” she said and felt like such a bitch she had an instant knot in her throat. Plus add in Quantico’s scowl and oh boy, she’d gone and pissed off one of four men with whom she would love nothing more than to get lost in their arms and into their bodies. She couldn’t though. The risk was too great, and the heartache still raw. She did what needed to be done. Her focus was getting out of here for several weeks and making it an adventure in Costa Rica. This was perfect timing after all.

“She looks incredible,” Brandon said, as he looked at the pictures his cousin Andy sent him.
“I know. I fucking hit on her and she didn’t bite. In fact, she seemed insulted.”
Brandon made a face as he spoke to his cousin over the phone.
“Well, she would be. She was too fucking perfect. Why the fuck would you hit on her, Andy?”
“I’m not stupid like you and your brothers. Plus to see if she still had feelings for you guys. She obviously does, or she would have jumped at the opportunity to be with a great guy like me. You broke her heart. Never understood why you cheated on her. I mean, her ass and tits alone are fucking perfect, and the rest of her body, her personality and capabilities as one hell of a Marine. Fuck, I’m getting a hard on just thinking about her.”
“Yeah well, stay clear of her. You push Kendra and she’ll put that Glock to your head and make you regret ever messing with her.”
