Paulo didn’t mind doing this type of high security work. They were in charge of establishing the new security for a luxurious upscale hotel in Manhattan that Dmitri now owned. There were several buildings, many penthouse suites, including the main one they lived in. Paulo, Hadeon, and Andriy would be in charge of running the security for all four buildings. It was going to be a big responsibility and entail a lot of hands-on coordinating at first, but they each had a lot of experience in this field. The three of them had a routine of what they each handled and together would make each building run smoothly and successfully.
“This place is fucking huge. The beds are like double King sized. What’s up with that?” Andriy asked, coming from the bedroom and into the kitchen.
“Complaining?” Paulo asked knowing that Andriy never would. It didn’t seem that long ago when they were each in prison in Russia, thinking they would die there. He forced those thoughts away. No need for the demons to join their new life here so soon.
“Never,” Andriy said, straight faced, holding Paulo’s gaze knowing his brother was feeling the same thing. Had the same thoughts. Hadeon was the oldest, had been the one to save Andriy and Paulo’s lives. Paulo flexed his muscles.
“Let’s get this initial meeting with management over and then head to Club Magique to meet Sunny, Vinny, and Mataeus,” Hadeon stated, looking at his cell phone as he fixed his shirt in the dress pants he wore. When he was done, he looked up at them. Their brother was a mean looking son of a bitch. His expression always hard, his attitude angry all the time. That was how the three of them were with everyone. Paulo hoped these people Fedarro and Collin placed as security to work with were good, or this was going to cause an uncomfortable situation.
They secured their weapons in their holsters, grabbed their jackets, and put them on. “I hope these men don’t suck,” Andriy said to them.
“Da,” Hadeon replied.

Fina was finally able to stand back and watch the results of all her hard work. She stood by the main entryway by the bar as all the women conversed and carried on about how beautiful the tables looked and how much fun Club Magique was. Multiple women had asked about booking other events here, including a special event for one of the very wealthy woman’s husbands.
As the show began, Fina watched Caprice perform and was so impressed with her performance and her voice. She looked gorgeous up there.
“Hey, beautiful. You did fantastic,” Angelo said to her approaching from behind her. She smiled up at him.
“Thank you. I appreciate all your help, too. Looks like you’ll be getting some other private party business in the near future.”
“Only if you host and organize their events. You’re great at this.”
“Thank you,” she said. They listened to Caprice finish up the first act and everyone applauded. Angelo said hello to someone and when she turned around she hadn’t expected to see Paulo. Their gazes locked and his dark eyes swept over her, she did the same to him and instantly felt her heart racing. He stepped closer to greet her, and that was when she saw Hadeon, Andriy, Vinny, Sunny, Mateus, Morano, and Vito.
“Fina,” Paulo said, leaning down to kiss her cheek. She teetered a moment, totally intimidated by this man and his brothers. She couldn’t believe he was back in New York. He slid an arm around her waist and pulled her against him.
Staring into her eyes, he inhaled. His expression was serious and kind of mean.
“It’s good to see you,” she said to him.
“Spaseebo. It’s good to see you, too, Fina.” He started to speak to her in Russian, totally making her feel aroused. Holy shit. She pulled back. Then he reached up and fixed her top. Her blouse was meant to fall from the shoulder but either he didn’t realize that or he didn’t like that her skin was exposed. What the hell was she thinking? There was nothing between them. They were Russian soldiers, heavies for Dmitri Sanclare.
“Fina, how are you, honey?” Sunny said and hugged her hello, Vinny and Mateus doing the same. Hadeon and Andriy stood back and waited as she spoke to Sunny, Vinny, and Mateus about the party and the success of the event she coordinated. They continued to speak as they moved toward the bar to grab drinks. She felt the hand on her hip. Large, warm, firm.
“Fina,” Andriy whispered and she turned to look up at the six-foot-four god of a Russian.
“Hi,” she squeaked and then gulped.
“Nice to see you again,” he said slowly, his Russian accent thick. She wanted to tell him and his brothers to feel free to speak to her in Russian even though she didn’t understand it just because they made it sound so sexy. She couldn’t believe her thoughts. She was never brazen with men. Especially not these three men. They towered over her, instantly making her feel both intimidated and protected. Holy shit, men like this should have been illegal.
Her one time being assertive in D.R. and when it came to having care free sex she couldn’t do it. Damn, she sure hoped that Johnny and Mario weren’t in New York for this new business thing.
Andriy kissed her cheek hello and she held onto his upper arm, the muscles rock hard and super big. God, she was having palpitations. Holy shit.
“Hi, Hadeon.” She heard one of the waitresses that worked at Club Magique greet Hadeon, his eyes glued to Fina’s until the brunette grabbed onto his arm and leaned up to kiss him hello. She rubbed his arm and he squinted at the brunette.
“Hope to see you later tonight. Maybe you can give me a ride…home again,” she said, and instantly Fina was not only jealous, but she remembered what Donata said about seeing Hadeon with his tongue down some waitresses mouth and then leaving with her. He probably screwed that woman, and here Fina was drooling over him and his brothers. Reality check, woman. Men are dogs. She gave him a dirty look and turned away.
She was relieved that Cassidy waved her over to the table she sat at. As Fina walked, she felt their eyes upon her and she was glad she was wearing the short, sexy skirt, her off the shoulder blouse, and high heels. She looked good, and was planning on meeting Caprice for a drink later on after the show. Would she want to be around while these three Russians hooked up with bimbo women? Why was she getting so angry?
She smiled as she spoke with Cassidy, who asked her about a set of shots for the table. She gave a wave to Carmine and he met her near the bar. The music was loud and the place getting more and more crowded so he placed his hand on her hip and she spoke into his ear. He nodded and smiled. She felt his hand glide off her hip and he winked at her.
“Anything for you, gorgeous,” he said and she nodded. When she went to take position by the end of the bar again, Hadeon stood by the bar staring at her. She debated about going back over but now that he stood there staring, and he had seen her in that spot before, she needed to stand her ground. She wouldn’t let him know how he affected her. He was a player, a soldier for Dmitri. She had to remember that.
“What do you think, baby?” Carmine said to her as she approached the bar and saw him make six specialty shots with tiny rose buds as decorations.
“That looks great. I’m so glad I ordered those.”
“You’re awesome at this, Fina. You have an eye for details,” he said and winked.
“Thank you, Carmine.”
“Anything for you, Fina, and any time,” he said and smiled, gazing over her body, before he lifted the tray and headed toward the tables.
She turned back to watch Carmine walk the tray to the tables and Hadeon spoke to her.
“Where is my hello?” he demanded in that tone of his. Every word came out as an order. Her heart pounded against her chest and it felt as if it could penetrate the skin. This man and his brothers did that to her, the thick Russian accent emphasizing it. He looked down at her, his eyes roamed over her shoulders then to her lips.
“Hadeon,” she said to him. He leaned down to kiss her cheek hello and she was shocked when his large hand encased her wrist and drew her closer. He inhaled against her skin before pulling back slowly
.
“Been too long,” he said.
“Hasn’t it? Can’t believe nearly three months passed. How is Chicago?” she asked, forcing her mind to process coherent thoughts as she stared at this god of a man in front of her. Holy crap was he hot, and that cologne, his attitude, the muscles, the suit, and superiority, fuck she needed to remember him with the brunette. He likes brunettes, not blondes like her. Not reserved, prim, proper women like her.
“Good, but we are here now for quite some time,” he said.
“That’s great for you and your brothers. I hear the hotel is gorgeous and completely renovated. It’s a fabulous neighborhood, too. If you guys get bored of the restaurants in the hotel, there’s a nice little café down the block that serves delicious homemade croissants with oven fresh turkey breast. The lattes are good, and if you’re looking for something a little more filling, the burger joint is crazy good.” Hadeon squinted at her, just staring and it put her on edge.
He stroked her hand and she tightened up but didn’t move. His thumb caressed back and forth against her skin on her hand and the simple movement had her pussy throbbing. Holy crap. She had to remember he liked brunettes. He likes brunettes, he likes brunettes, he likes brunettes, she repeated in her head. She wouldn’t be just another piece of ass.
“It’s always nice to see a familiar face,” he said. The brunette was passing by. She handed him a glass of something clear. Had to be vodka.
“We’ll meet up later Hadeon,” the brunette said and winked. Fina looked at the woman, whose eyes threw spears at Fina. As she walked away, Fina looked at Hadeon.
“So—”
“Like you were saying, a familiar face. Have fun with your brunette,” she said to him, then turned and walked away. She went all the way around to the other bar and stood there until a few guys she recognized from Mateus’s and Major’s security team approached and started talking to her. She tried not to look back to where Hadeon and his brothers were, but as this one guy, Connor, spoke with her, flirting, she looked past him and could see Hadeon and his brothers in a dead stare at her. Well, they could play their games with some bimbo waitress who spread her legs for any man. Not her. Besides, she had enough trouble with men lately and still didn’t know what to do about Jonah and Bader. They hadn’t called or texted again, but yesterday on her way home from work as she walked down the block, she had felt as if someone was watching her. She kept Donata on the phone just in case, but looked around for their sports cars and hadn’t see anything. She didn’t like that feeling and was probably letting her own fears and intimidation from Jonah and Bader get to her. They were capable men. Men who did martial arts and worked out a lot in all those competition races. She swallowed hard and gave a soft smile to Connor as he told a joke and the other guys laughed. She shook her head and lowered her eyes. She was in no mood to be hit on. In fact, she was fine not being attached or involved with any man whatsoever. They just seemed to make life more complicated.

“Ty, pissed her off, da?” Andriy said to Hadeon.
“Da.” Hadeon turned around and faced the bar. Andriy kept his back against the bar and continued to look toward where Fina was. Hadeon didn’t understand it. There was something about Fina that drew him in. She was sweet, feminine, and seemed shy. When he was close to her, he could hear her heart racing. It was like she knew he wasn’t good enough for her. Fina was angelic, and Hadeon was worse than the devil. He downed the remainder of vodka in his glass.
She had been jealous of the waitress, and she didn’t need to be. There was no comparison between the two women. Fina was classy, professional, and sensual, while the brunette was an easy lay to satisfy his needs the last time he was in town. Sort of funny, because he screwed that waitress because he couldn’t get his mind off Fina. Hadeon wasn’t good enough for a woman as perfect and beautiful as Fina. She was flawless, her skin perfection, her scent so appealing he instantly thought of all the ways he would take his time to ravish her. He would spend hours kissing her skin, exploring with tongue and teeth and…he pushed the thoughts from his head. He wasn’t good enough. His brothers felt the same way. So why, since learning of coming back to New York, did he think instantly of Fina?
Since interrupting two men who were bothering her months back in the club, he couldn’t seem to get her off his mind. He knew he wasn’t good enough for her. Hell, he was old. Ten years plus on her, but she drew him in. That sweet, sensual smell, those light blonde, almost platinum, locks and abundance of curls that dipped so close to that sexy ass. Fuck. He shook his head. Andriy gave his arm a nudge.
“Da, like an untouchable angel. Too good for the likes of men like us,” Andriy whispered and then downed his drink.
“Da,” he said, not even wanting to talk about her. It made no sense. She must know that, too. Saw him and his brothers for what they were. Soldiers of violence. Dangerous men, capable of dangerous things. Dark demons surrounded each of them. She deserved better. She deserved a good man, or men. Not killers like them.
Chapter 2
“I want eyes on her at all times, but don’t make a move. I need to know so when the time arises you can snag her fast and without interference,” Miami Cortez stated over the phone.
“I understand. I know you’ve wanted her from the moment you laid eyes on her months ago, but you may want to take the opportunity to grab her soon. Sanclare is in town and bought out the Grand Hotel. He assigned his top guys for security,” Burner told his boss.
“I knew this was coming. It will work out accordingly. I want Hadeon, Sanclare’s guy, dead. He killed Emanuel, and aided in getting through all the security measures. When we take Fina, who I wanted from the start and couldn’t have because of those Russian assholes, I want Hadeon killed. Then I will have my fun with Fina. Put a scare in her like nothing she’s ever experienced before and then be her hero.”
“Those guys, the ones who run the operations shipping those women around, aren’t exactly gentle.”
“They don’t need to be gentle with her. They just need to not fuck her. Fina will be mine.”
“What about the two assholes sniffing around her, trying to get her into bed? The two guys have a lot of money, are pretty fit, but definitely players,” Burner told him over the phone.
“I saw the pictures you sent. Perhaps you can dig a little further. Get more info on their business deals, particularly one with that German company. That looked suspicious. We could use them if we get enough shit to have as leverage.”
“Have them take the fall for her disappearance?” Burner asked.
“Exactly. A good possibility. Now, she went home alone last night as usual, correct?” Miami asked.
“Yes. Though our guy said she was working, organized a dinner party at Club Magique and then exchanged some words with Hadeon, Paulo, and Andriy. He said she seemed annoyed with them.”
“I knew she was special.”
“My guy said they seemed interested in Fina.”
“What?”
“Yes. They couldn’t take their eyes off of her.”
“Then watch them closely and her, too. Those three fucking assholes aren’t going to have what is mine. Be ready.”
“Will do.”
“Now, are you sure you’re set for the first pick up? I don’t want any situations.” Miami said.
“Yes, everything went smoothly. Tonight, we’re looking at four prospects. These four women seem very interested in what Gloria presented to them.”
“So, an easy grab. Send me their profiles once it’s confirmed they’re on board as escorts.”
“Two of the women are definitely experienced and are willing to get paid for sex if the client wants. The other two are inexperienced with sex.”
“The inexperienced ones need time to be trained. The experienced ones need to know the rules and what they can and can’t do. Have the team work on them. I expect a nice flow of income from these women. Keep me posted. Now, how about the special orders?” Miami a
sked and he looked at the scattered pictures on his desk. Each of these women was young, fashionable, and very beautiful.
“We need two more blondes. Dakota and Jerry will hit the clubs this upcoming week, as well as a few upscale martini bars. We should be able to find two women suitable to fit the criteria of classy at one of those places. We’ll see.”
“Make sure Jerry is on his game. No fuck ups.”
“Got it. I’ll be in touch, boss.”
“Later.”
Miami Cortez disconnected the call and leaned back in his chair. The last six months sucked, having to remain underground and undetected. He knew that multiple families had people looking for him. They would never find him. Those families, the Sanclares, Fiorres, Costanzas, the Coglonies, and the others had enemies, too. It hadn’t been too difficult to find safety right here in Cuba. Those asshole families had shit power here. Their operations worked because of their soldiers, retired military personal and crazy bastards he would not underestimate in the future. As Miami grew his own small army of men and got connections from people like Louis Bronnos who owned Cha Cha Cabana in NYC and Montero, Spain who was out for revenge after the Coglonie men got him fired from his position at the bank. Miami sought them all out. Made the connections, talked about the revenge against them and the plans to sabotage their new business ventures at the strip on the Upper East Side the Fiorres took over and opened up, and the new series of hotels bought out by Sanclare. Miami had a plan, but ultimately he wanted Fina Linguante, and to kill Hadeon. Everything else was icing on the cake.
He picked up the phone and called Louis to check on the order of women. Miami needed to deliver on his promises to his new business friends here in Cuba. They special ordered five women of their liking. It was a new way of doing business. He leaned back in the chair and looked at the photographs. Each one sexier and lovelier than the next. He dialed the number on his cell phone and spoke on speaker.
