  “A visit to see the sheriff I suppose. Word will travel fast.”

  “Maybe not a hundred percent. I’ll be hurting when they leave again, and won’t have a clue when they may return. I’ll also be extra worried now, as well.”

  “You’ll handle it fine, and you’ve got me to hang out with, remember.”

  “Always,” York told her, and then they opened the office door and headed out to the bar.

  “Don’t take any unnecessary chances. You got what we needed. She’s the bait. I’ll send in a team to grab her when the time is right. In the interim, got some federal agents snooping around the new facility in New Jersey. I want the two of you to handle things. It seems to be only two men. Set them up. Make it good, and buy us some time to move inventory.”

  “Got it. Are you sure you don’t need us here and for the woman?”

  “You sound like she interests you, Flask.”

  “I sent you pictures. She doesn’t flaunt her assets, but she’s built well.”

  “I noticed that and also with her long blonde hair and blue eyes, she would be appealing to Armad. He enjoys her type, and he will be in New York soon enough. Could work out a deal on the side.”

  “Extra pocket money,” Flask said, and chuckled.

  “Exactly. Let me know when the other situation is handled.”

  “Of course.” VanBuren ended the call and looked at Hyzein who was sitting at the desk in the office looking at the computer. He walked around as he told him what Flask said.

  “Forget about Armad. I think I would like to have a little fun with Harper.”

  “What are you thinking?”

  “A game for the soldiers to torture them in a different way.”

  VanBuren squinted his eyes at his brothers. “What way?”

  “I’ll let you know once I comprise it and can organize the things I need. When should I expect delivery of our little gem?”

  “I want Flask to handle this situation in New Jersey while the men relocate the inventory. Having the feds so close is one thing, but being on the military radar is different. We have to be extra careful and that includes the games you want to play with this woman and the Dortry men.”

  “Oh, it will be worth it, and you’ll have a front row seat, as well.”

  VanBuren chuckled. “You’ve gained my interest, Hyzein. Perhaps enough that I will play along, as well. Especially if this game involves exploring her body a little.”

  “Just a little. Enough to bait them, to anger them and make them so enraged and helpless that all they can do is watch.”

  “Watch?”

  “Technology will be our weapon. Let’s just leave it at that.”

  “I’m very happy for the five of you. It’s about time you made things official,” Kane said to Ferrion and his brothers, giving them a look like he knew about this thing for a while.

  “We had to be careful. Still do, but we know what we want, and that’s for all to know that Harper is our woman,” Ferrion told him as he pulled Harper against his side. She smiled shyly, not being one to want such attention.

  Kane nodded his head and grinned. “Word will travel fast. Congratulations again,” he said, and shook the men’s hands and then gave Harper a kiss on her cheek and a hug before they headed out of the sheriff’s department.
